Romulo Royo
Born in Zaragoza (Spain) in 1976, Romulo Royo has been exhibiting his works since 2000, and currently his works are housed in different private collections, foundations and museums. He has had several solo exhibitions throughout Spain, Verona, Milan, Frankfurt and Tokyo with the itinerant Meta Project. American Express commissioned a series of limited-edition lithographs. From 2004 onwards, he began to exhibit in important private art galleries, foundations and international contemporary art fairs such as Berlin Art Forum, FIAC, Los Angeles Art Show, ARCO Madrid, Context Art Miami, GIGE Beijing China, Istanbul's Art International, Art Wynwood, etc. Together with Luis Royo, they have painted the great dome of Medvedev in Moscow, the process of their work was compiled in their book Dome. Later they undertook the multimedia project Malefic Time and published the three books of the trilogy (Apocalypse, 110 Katanas and Akelarre) with an international print run, as well as the aesthetic project of the musical Malinche. Among his most recent exhibitions are Kavachnina Contemporary Gallery in Miami, Miguel Marcos Gallery in Barcelona, and Huberty & Breyne in Brussels. His pieces have been auctioned at prestigious auction houses such as Christie's Paris, Ketterer Kunst in Munich, Galartis in Switzerland and at the Womanity Foundation's Auction, with the renowned Simon de Pury as auctioneer and the participation of important galleries such as Gagosian, Miguel Marcos and Aquavella.
