ABOUT THE SHOW

Lake Como Comic Art Festival (LCCAF) is Europe's largest gathering of international comic books artist and the only one that does not host memorabilia, merchandise, cosplay, movies and series. Only original art, artists, art dealers, art books and certified comics.

LCCAF is almost a family-run show, no big corporation behind it: LCCAF s.r.l., founded by Arnaud Lapeyre of Pulp's Comics (Paris, France) and Steven Morger of Big Wow! Art (Lafayette, CA), is running the show together with a small, dedicated staff.

LCCAF is located in Cernobbio, Italy, on the grounds of gorgeous Villa Erba, a location very much unlike any other convention you've ever attended. This is where you'll find Will Call, box office and the Show Floor with all the artists and art dealers.

Friday (opening reception: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Saturday (Show Floor): 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Sunday (Show Floor): 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM

The Festival is usually around mid-May so as to enjoy Lake Como in the best season of the year. This time around, 2023, the dates are May 12 (Opening Reception) and May 13-14 for the actual Festival.

Opening reception night is an exclusive event to relax the night before the Festival, enjoying the Lake Como view from the Villa Erba halls and garden. A full buffet is included, together with the chance of mingling with all the pros for a different kind of interaction.

Reception etiquette is "no asking for sketches or autographs", but photos and shop talk are fine.

The free portfolio is a "thank you" to early purchasers of 2 or 3 day tickets. It contains a slew of exclusive prints that artists will sign for free during the Festival. Deadline to have it for free is March 31, 2023.

1-day ticket attendees can buy it for €100 at the LCCAF booth.

You can pick up your bracelet at the Villa Erba entrance box office (located in Largo Luchino Visconti 4, Cernobbio) starting at 2PM on the convention's Friday. Everybody needs a bracelet to enter the Villa Erba premises and the Show Floor, and they'll be given in order of arrival at the box office. Saturday morning sees people lining as soon as 6AM, but worry not: there's a 1000 tickets limit, so the line is not by far as crazy as other conventions.

We also recommend you bring a printed copy of your email confirmation. We can scan digital copies, but if your mobile goes out of charge...OUCH!

LCCAF tickets are non-refundable but are upgradable: please contact us in case of need. LCCAF bracelets are also non-resellable and non-transferable.

Being LCCAF limited to 1000 tickets, we suggest to purchase your ticket(s) early because once those are gone, they're gone for good.

As long as you keep your bracelet on, you can get in and out as many times as you wish. Please notice that bracelets are non-resellable and non-transferable and that the unauthorized resale or attempted resale of the bracelet is prohibited and will constitute a forfeiture of the bracelet without compensation. Each bracelet must be used by the same person for each day of the event.

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATIONS

One child up to the age of 13 can enter for free with a paying adult. Please be prepared to show proof of age onsite and note that all minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian.

Tag-along spouses would make better use of their time with a Lake Como cruise or taking a short train drive to Milano. It's not possible to visit Villa Erba during the Festival.

If you have pets, please leave them at home. Villa Erba will not allow animals — except for service animals — into the building.

There is no PA system available inside the Villa Erba Convention Center.

There is no PA system available inside the Villa Erba Convention Center. Please arrange a time and a place to meet beforehand.

Sorry, LCCAF does not provide Child Care services at this time.

In case you lose any of your possessions, head out to the LCCAF booth and be prepared to give a description of what you've lost: it might have been left there already by a kind soul. If that's not the case, leave your name and number and you'll be contacted when/if it's found.

In case you find someone's possession (we're all so excited about being there that we'd leave our head around, if not attached to our neck), think of "Do unto others" and please take them to the LCCAF booth. If you feel like it, leave your name and number: no rewards, but a "thank you!" in person is always nice.

Nope, sorry, LCCAF does not provide such service.

Although LCAAF is organized so as to avoid crowds by limiting access to 1000 tickets, stepping out the convention center will land you right in the middle of Villa Erba's gorgeous 24 acres park overlooking Lake Como. That will be a getting away from the crowd you've never experienced at ANY comic con before.

For the most part, you’re welcome to take still pictures and video at LCCAF but note that flash photography is frowned upon. Please understand that guests may or may not pose for photographs with fans. Guests have a right to their privacy and if they ask not to have their picture taken, please respect their wishes.

The free Wi-Fi service has been optimized for light business uses such as simple web browsing and e-mail. Video streaming and other high bandwidth needs will be better served by your own mobile connection.

LCCAF is a low-density Festival, thus handcarts, trolleys, strollers, rolling luggage, and wheeled backpacks are allowed on the Show Floor. Just remember that hardly anyone will sign the whole 150-issues run of your fave comics, nor the 50 copies of that variant you like so much though. Hey, we also allow selfie-sticks (but remember: be careful!)

Nope, drones are not allowed in the Villa Erba premises nor at LCCAF.
